Exploring the village you can come across an exciting mixture of  tavernas, galleries and shops offering samples of local handicraf. Due to the narrow winding streets cars are not allowed in the centre of Lindos village. n case you want to enjoy the breathtaking view from the Acropolis why not take advantage of the local mode of transport, the ‘’lindian taxi’’- the donkey! These lovely animals will carry you from the main square right up to the Acropolis for a modest fee and a carrot or two!

The Acropolis of Lindos is where you’ll find the remaining Doric columns of the Temple of Athena Lindia and you’ll be able to take photos of the surrounding area from the highest point. The views from the summit are a treat. You'll see over Lindos village and its main beach and little Pallas Beach, and St Paul's Bay on the other side of the Acropolis. The quaint, little chapel at St Paul's Bay has become very popular for weddings and the surrounding bay provides a perfect setting for a special occasion.
