Haraki is a fishing village which developed into the only organised settlement of the island by the sea, and into one of the most attractive destinations for the visitor to Rhodes. Haraki located at the eastern part of the island, within 38 km from Rhodes city. The small village hosts a few bars, and restaurants to accommodate travelers in the holiday seasons. The attractive little bay of Haraki definetly offers a family atmosphere. It is mainly visited by tourists renting rooms nearby, but families of local people also come out with their umbrellas and settle themselves on the no-charge section in the centre of the beach. The right-hand side of the beach has large pebbles, while to the left there is sand. If you choose to swim at the far right end of Haraki beach you will have a good view of the Feraklos castle.
